I have someone offering me a 2001 S60 T5, average mileage... and lets just assume good mechanicals... However, it has been rear ended and needs a rear bumper. Exactly, sounds like a big repair but, he is offering it to me for $2ooo. Yeah 2 and three 0's. Two-thousand. How expensive could this repair be, and is it worth it?

    It may be. But check for blood, drug residues, etc first. No joke. Run a title search too. Could be the guy thought he could buy it back from his insurer, and now realizes he can;t deal with fixing the car, and needs the additional 2 grand to pay off the loan.

    Based on what you've described the repair could be a thousand dollars or ten thousand dollars. Is it worth it? It depends. If you are not a professional body repairman you should get some estimates.
