In the past two days I've gotten a service message twice. It states
"BULB FAILURE SYSTEM LIGHT". Both times the message has cleared but I have no idea what it is telling me.

Can anyone help on this?

    Wade,

    Have you changed lightbulbs lately ? (or other work done ?)

    Older Volvo's of the 900/700 series had also a warning when lightbulbs of a diffent make were installed. The advice was always: change lightbuld in paires.
    Donot know if this applicable to the S80.

      Interesting point- Yes-I recently changed both license plate blubs & used Auto Zone bulbs. If it keeps up, will explore that one.

    LOL. At least it is more than a number! Call one of the service techs at the dealer and ask. If he doesn't know, ask the supervisor. It could be the indash bulb for the warning light :)

    Turn on the parking lights and walk around the car making sure all 4 corners are lit. Also check the daytime running lights.

      I've checked every light I can find and they all work. There's nothing in the manual explaining this either & I would like to know what it is especially if I have to have the dealer check it out.
