I have a 2000 V70 XC. My dealer told me about a year ago that I had a leak in my bevel gear. It never leaked fluid onto the driveway and the dealer was unable to tell which seal was the problem because is was always wet underneath. They still quoted me large amount to fix it and I declined. I recently found a local dealer who works on Volvo and took my car there since now there is fluid visibly leaking from the back. He tells me there is a front pinion seal leak. Is this related to my bevel gear or is what the dealer told me and what this garage is telling me 2 different issues?
