Poor air speed from vents (cabin) V70-XC70 1997

Hi all

Just bought a 97 V70 and I have a few issues with it.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Issue 1.Poor cabin air speed from vents.

Installed a new fan motor due to the other one not working at all, motor now works fine but not much air comes out of the vents, have checked mode selector motor and it seems to be moving fine also have checked evaporator for blockages.

Issue 2. Airbag light on.

After removing the top dash crash pad and unplugging passenger airbag due to dash globes being dull and burnt ( Highly recommended!)my airbag light is now on...how do I clear it ? ps I will post up information on how to get the instrument cluster out for those intersted.

Issue 3.Low boost pressure.

What is the factory boost pressure for the 2.5t low boost version? mine is currently running 4.5 psi.

Many thanks

Regards Darrin.

Once the SRS light comes on, only the dealer can turn it off. Which is why you are not supposed to turn the ignition on with an air bag unplugged.
There is a method to only lift the driver's side of the dash to remove the instrument cluster, which means that no air bags get unplugged.

When the heat is on, there should only be a small amount of air coming from the side vents, most of the heat will come out by your feet. Once the cabin is up to temp, the fan will be on its lowest setting. If the AC is active, all of the air comes out of the top vents. Try playing with the fan speed to see where the air is being directed.

The cabin temperature sensor, the right most slot of the dash switches which looks like it has a small grill in it, may be dirty and in need of cleaning.

I have no idea of boost pressure for an LPT.

I suspect you didn't follow Volvo's specific sequence for disconnecting and reconnecting the airbags. The procedure was designed to prevent transient voltages which might lead to a bag going off accidentally. See a Haynes manual or previous posts on this site. I think there may be no choice now but to have someone reset the light.
