Spare tire 850

Well, the sidewall of my donut spare blew out (not on the car).
I have a 96 850 turbo wagon, with the 3rd seat.
Does anyone happen to know if it is possible to get a full size tire into the space, or do I have to search for another donut?

    Thanks for the inputs.

    Got a chance to pull the bad tire and have it fixed (the can of flat fixer got it home). Tried to put the full size in the car, but the third seat crossmember didn't let it fit. Ordered a spare from Erie, and it should be home by the time I get there next week.

    For Nathan---yep, and I'm still using AMSOIL in everything I own.

    Wow - Hi Dick , I remember discussing synthetic motor oil with you probably 8 years ago !!

    I have a 1995 850 sedan - years ago i ditched the donut spare and gor a rim from Tirerack.com and put a full sized tire on it. Fits perfect in my sedan.

    I carry a full size spare in our sedan and R wagon, but our base wagon has a third seat, and there is a bar with a protrusion on it that will not allow a full sized spare to fit.

    The full size steel wheel will fit nicely, with a standard size tire. I can fit one of my 16in alloy wheels with 205/50/16 tires mounted.
    Just jack your car up, take off one wheel and place it in the hole. I am sure it will fit!

      I have one of said size tires in my S-70 and it does raise the mat a bit even with the shim for the small tire out. Doesn't make that much difference and having the full size feels good---perhaps wrong wording. Wagon is better fit.

        Dunno about with the third seat, but interesting a 205-55 x 16 Dunlop will fit in my well but not a Michelin Pilot AS! Seriously, the different brands are slightly different diameters.

        If all else fails, Erie Vovo must have those stupid donuts available for a song.
