When we got our '99 XC a couple of months ago, I found this part in the glovebox. It's definitely an interior part... same color... same plastic. But I don't see anything missing anywhere in the interior. I called the dealer to find out, but he said it was an obsolete part number and he couldn't help.

Can someone identify what it is and where it goes? I'm uploading two pics... I hope! If you cannot see it, the part number is 6818850 RH (right hand?).

    did anyone ever answer this post? I just found the same part in my 1996 Volvo 850 wagon.

    It's a seat track trim piece, goes at either end of the front seat adjusting tracks and hides the seat retaining bolts. Should be two in tyhe rear and one on the outboard front rail.

      Thanks for solving the mystery, Bob. I don't recall seeing any part like that by the tracks... so maybe I'm missing all but one! I'll doublecheck when I get home.
