HELP! HELP! 1998 V70 R AWD - Any problems switching from 16' to 17' rims? V70-XC70

This is my second posting without one reply.I need help ASAP on this. If anyone knows or has switched rims from 16" to 17" on the above vehicle or similar V70 please let me know of any possible problems. I want to put 17" on the "R" but I've had people tell me the good and bad in doing it(i.e. tire rubbing on inside cowling and interference with the steering mechanisms to name a few-other people say that there's no problem).
I'd appreciate any helpful replies.

Thanks

Klaus is right...every person I've met with a V70R has at least 17" wheels on it. A fried of mine didn't even go with Volvo fitment but got an American Racing wheel that is 'close' and it never rubs.

V70R.com is a great resource, as mentioned previously.

Many people have 17 inch rims on their 1998 Rs. You just have to remember to step down a size on the sidewall ratio, 50 to 45.
Go to v70R.com and search on their site, they do a lot of "bling" :)
