1999 V70 GLT advice needed V70-XC70 1999

Hi all.
I need some advice. I have a 1999 V70GLT with 195000 miles on it. I love this car, but I'm starting to have more and more repairs on it. I realize that I will have little trade in value on it, but I am considering a newer model. Repair-wise, ahead of me I will need to replace the timing belt, water pump, radiator, heater core, and possibly the transmission in the near future. It's been a great car, and I've taken great care of it, but lately I'm a little less enchanted with it.
I am considering a 2004 or newer model.

Your thoughts are appreciated!

-Winston-

I was OK until you mentioned the tranny. The other pieces are relatively easy and at 200K miles, not to be unexpected.

Time to go for an 04+. But, before you go to the dealer, CLEAN the inside and outside completely. Get your service records together in a binder, you can cut off your name addr, etc. Check cars.com for dealer listings to get prices that used car dealers will ask and reduce your expectation by about $1500.
If you sell it yourself, the new owner may discount it because of pending service. If the tranny fluid is really dark, flush it. 12 quarts of Mobile 3309 isn't cheap, but it may help.
