finally getting around to doing the PCV system this week.......... 850

I have read that the models after the 850s did away with the white plastic flame trap. Would it be advisable to ditch the flame trap in my parents (non-turbo) '96 850, so that it (being the trap) doesn't clog later on. Thanks, and have a most enjoyable weekend :)

I told you to throw that away. ME. It serves no purpose than to clog the fumes and eventually close up. There are no large particles traveling through those lines that would get into the intake manifold. If there were, we would all be in big trouble:)

Just keep thing clean,

Klaus

There's a vacuum hose connection on the flame trap housing that gets plugged w/ hard carbon deposites. It may need to be drilled out.
