Brakes Lights S80

My brake lights always seems to trigger an error message because it goes out. If I hit a bump then the light is fine and no error message! I replaced bulbs, but five months later this symptom returns. Is there a short or I just have cheap bulbs?

    Not the bulbs, but the bulb holder. Corrosion in the holder can cause this, and cleaning with steel wool or a wire brush will cure it.

    Please answer, we need to know if the advice is good or bad. The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are 2 turbos :)
