S60R !! S60

It's a little quite on this side of the board -- have had three 240's and currently have an 850T, now thinking about moving into a S60R.....anybody have any thoughts suggestions or recommendations on this??

From what I'm hearing, the S60 is the most reliable Volvo ever. But avoid the 2001 (first year). My next Volvo will be an S60.

      S60R !! S60

In the past 8 years, I've had 3 240's, and an 850 Turbo.... then I started reading about the "R" cars. But due to declining sales, 2007 was the last year that the S60R is offered.

I ended up getting the S60R (2004) and she's a beast! I've also heard that '01 is the year to avoid for the S60. Some funny electronic happenings I've noticed with her so far:

      1) climate control on full blast upon starting (it wasn't turned on the last time I was in the car)
      2) intermittent wiper control is not very intermittent all the time.
      3) the trip odometer reset itself before hitting 999.9 miles.

Poor turning radius is my only gripe about her (wheels rub against wheel wells during full turns too). Otherwise, I love my Inga!

Go to you dealer an have the software update to fix the trip odometer problem, blower issue my be of same nature. My '04 S60R had the same issue with odometer. Also have had other software updates to suspension which caused a headlight aiming issue which yet another software patch fixed. Just had rear noisy hub bearings replaced under warranty at about 42K.

Overall we love it, but takes looking after.
