1999 V70 AWD 126000 Miles

Can anyone tell me how I would know if I had a ball joint going bad? I have a groaning sound at low speed when turning in any direction that disappears at higher speeds. I have already greased the steering stops. I also have replaced the struts and the strut seats. Not sure if it is a bearing, tie rod or a ball joint. Also thanks to everyone for the great help in the past.
