Engine sputters after it is rainy and cold- lambda light comes on 850 1997

Greetings,

The engine sputters, and almost sounds like it is going to stall when I start it. This does not happen all the time. This happens when I start it after not having used it for a day and it especially seems to happen after it rains at night (car is parked outside). It sputters in first gear, and then once it hits 2nd gear it doesn't sputter as much. The funny thing is, the problem goes away after about 10 minutes of driving. I have had no engine trouble with the car until now.

I would be appreciative of any speculations on diagnosis.
