footwell coutesy light stays on 850

Hi guys. I have an aggravating problem with my driver's footwell courtesy light. If I don't slam the door with every last ounce of my strength, the bloody thing stays on and drains my battery. Anyone know how this thing is triggered and how to go about fixing it? My 240's had plunger switches in the A pillar that shut the light off, but there does not appear to be a plunger on my 850. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Rob

It is a micro switch in the door latch assenbly and not replaceable. You can check how it works by pushing it closed with your finger - at the bottom of the catch in the door, a small black plastic(?) switch can be flipped toward the outside and the lights should turn off.
If slamming the door really hard works, you should adjust the door latch position to make it tighter and closer fit to the B pillar.
