Are the lift cly easy to get at on an 850 ?
Are they the same as a trunk lift cyl?

?????? Do you mean the trunk/tailgate struts? If so, yes and somewhat. Go to http://volvospeed.com/maintenance.shtml
And look for a pictorial for replacing the struts. FCP Groton supplies them.
