Door Ajar light stays on on instrument panel after trying to get trunk ligt working S40-V40 2003

While trying to get the trunk light work, the car started this AM. clock set to 00, and the door ajar light on the inst panel stays lit. Any suggestions as to remedy this> I must have shorted something out?

Or the trunk was not completely closed. If you have a screwdriver, open the trunk and close the latch with the screwdriver. The latch has 2 positions, so it needs to "click" twice to be fully locked. If the dash light then goes out, upen the latch for the trunk and close it. Check for any debris in the latch area.

The clock going to zero is an indication that the battery ran down. Make sure the trunk light is out by pulling the seat forward and peeking into the closed trunk.
