S70 ABS light and now Check engine light S70 1999

Once in a while the ABS light will go on and then the next day no light. Then it comes on till it does the check once a pass 15 mph...
Later today the ABS light went on, stayed on and then half way home the check engine light came on too.... We have OBDII reader and it said P 1054...
We called a local place and they couldn't tell us what it meant and the Internet was no help. We are planning on taking it in tomorrow morning but who knows what they will find and tell us...

Any help would be appreciated

My ABS light would come on intermittenly like that. It turned out my radiator was leaking onto the sensor. After I replaced the radiator, the light went away. I also found that it would get triggered when driving through a dust storm or a big puddle.

The check engine is usually fuel or emissions, and can be caused by the same thing..dirty 02 sensors. You might have a leak of oil or coolant..or even ac condensation that is dirtying up the guts of your car.

To clear the codes, try disconnecting the battrey for a few seconds. This will rest the computer. Make sure you have your stereo lockout codes!

You need the ABS module rebuilt. Do not pay for a new one!! New ones will fail again after a few years.
Check out this site : http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/

Victor will rebuild it for around $140

That is the first year for network cars. It is probably got a code in the fuel injection control unit for no vehicle speed sensor as well as a code that says check the abs control unit for codes. The abs will probably have a code in there for a faulty vehicle speed sensor as well. The vehicle speed sensor is fine, it has a faulty abs control unit. If these are the fault codes you have stored then just change out the control unit and be done with it.
