Programming keyless entry question 850 1995

I can't seem to get my keyless entry remote to program to my 95 850, and I'm sick of using the lock de-icer :-/. I found the directions on the internet (turn ignition on off 5 times hit button) but i have no luck. I went to the dealer and they checked the remote said it worked fine, had one of the guys try to program it for me but with no luck. Any ideas whats going on here.

My transceiver box, located by the passengers right knee, is on the fritz. When you turn the ignition key on/off 5 fimes and leave it on, the little red light on the dash should start flashing. If it doesn't, programming won't work.

Make sure all of the doors are closed when you try it again.

I have everything locked when I do it all doors, the hood. The problem is that when I turn ignintion on 5 times the LED on the dashboard doesn't flash. Am I just out of luck?

I did this exact procedure at the indie's shop today. It was a brand new remote.

So, door needs to be closed, my lock was open. I tried the 5 times thing unsuccessfully, the mechanic had different timing and got it to work. After turning the key five times, my instructions were to "push the buttons!" Then I got a working remote.

If you lock the door with the key, the LED should flash too.

When the LED does not light up, your next bet is to look for junk yards and hopefully find a working transceiver. It must be from a 1995 850. Some 1994 cars may work, but doubtful. The Stealer option is several hundred dollars.
