Hello Brickboard. After much thinking and driving I think I have worked out my ideal Volvo. A 98 thru 2000 V 70 R AWD wagon with a standard shift. My question to you all is this: were any ever made here? I am in Canada but am willing to buy from the US. Happy New Year everyone. Warren

Hi,
I looked at an 04 V70R AWD standard shift here in Calgary 2 months ago @ Valentine Volvo. The operative word is "looked", do`nt recall the price but it wasn`t cheap. Besides, my wife just bought a XC70(automagic) back in the summer.
Don`t know your location but if you`re interested you could check out their website to see if the car is still on the lot.

Not in the USA. I believe most of them are auto boxes, which is a shame! I wish my R had a 5 speed.
