wiper fluid & rad coolant mixed 850 1994

My wife "thinks" she put wiper fluid in the coolant resivoir. What sholud I do...and divorce is not an option. All kidding aside, should I drain and replace immediately or will it be alright. Thanks for any advice. And one more thing...has this happened to anyone before? I just don't know how you can make that mistake.

ANSWER wiper fluid & rad coolant mixed 850 1994

Kudo's for your wife! At least she tries to maintain her car. No harm done.
Perhaps a flush next spring...

ANSWER wiper fluid & rad coolant mixed 850 1994

Don't loose any sleep over it. The small amount that could be added is not going to cause any problems. Anyway it's better than putting antifreeze in the washer resevoir. Can't believe how much anitfreeze has gone up! A recent Two-4-One Prestone add for 50% "read to use" mix was $12.99 and that's HALF water.

That's why on my recent flush i used Volvo.... My dealer gave me 20% off the 25 dollar list, so it was cheaper then the prestone..... and I am a firm believer that for what ever reason the Volco antifreeze has additives that don't react with the aluminum..... I've flushed non-volvo from used bricks that I purchased and the green is almost black..... i flush out add the Volvo AF and two years 50-60k later, still the same green color as the day i put in... I'll pay the price... And since volvo price has not gone up in a couple of years, it's now a bargain!
