Remotes 850

So i have a 97 850 with keyless remote programmed. I changed the battery in my remote and now the remote does not work. tried reprogramming, and nothing. Any ideas?

When I pushed a button on the remote before I changed the battery the remote made a small beep. Now it does not do this.

    Your problem is the remote, not the car. Changing the remote battery does not change the frequency of the remote. Because it no longer beeps, I suspect either the battery is upside down or some other part of the remote needs cleaning.
