'96 850 turbo - died while driving... new stereo 850

This is my first 850 - I've had her for about a month, so a few days ago, I installed a new head unit, rear speakers and a 250watt amplifier + subwoofer. I've had no prior issues starting up the car, and I'm lucky enough to have all of it's service records! The other night, while heading out of downtown (2nd/burnside) all the dash lights come on, and she just dies... I get a jump start and she makes it home, but won't start up the next morning, nor the day after, not even on a jump... she cranks, but wont fire... there is a pretty significant buzz/hum noise coming from the front/center part of the engine... that's about all I've got for symptoms. I pulled the fuel pump relay, and checked the fuses... both check out. It's on a trickle charge now... we'll try again tonight... I'm at a loss...

It's been super cold and rainy... new stereo... any ideas?

Thanks, Michael PDX

When all of the warning lights come on, it is usually a sign that the alternator is no longer working. Check and see if the serpentine belt is still there. That buzzing noise is the idle air control motor which is always on when the key is in pos II.
