Secondary Air Pump 850

What is the simplist way to test the air pump motor. I'm thinking that I would like to isolate the motor from everything else on the system without removing it. Any suggestions?

The air pump only runs for a few minutes after initial start up, until the engine temp is warm.
I just grabbed the air supply hose from the air cleaner to the pump and squeezed it a little, I could feel it pulse while working. If the pump does not work, you will get a CEL. If the pump is noisy and full of water, your SAS valve probably no longer works and needs to be replaced.
