The V70 has another EVAP system fault. I'm getting both codes P0455 and P0442- large and small evaporator system leaks. I have been searching through the archives on this problem, and it seems pretty common (due to the fact that it seems nearly discussed to death...). The "Check Engine" light has been on for about 20,000 miles now despite my replacing the gas cap seal and gas cap three times, replacing some of the vacuum hoses in the engine bay, and having the mechanic check it out. I read that it could be the evap valve filter, a fuel filter (?), or the vacuum can itself near the fuel tank. Should I just pull the valve and clean it out first, or is there something else that I should check first?
Edit: I just pulled the purge valve and it looks clean (no build up). Is a clogged valve a visible problem?
