Need help.... Does the new hinge get mounted to the body first? or do you first put the hinge on the door? Anyone have pictures of the procedure?

try to put the hinge in hot water so it will get a little bit soft before you put it on the fuel door,you have to attatch the hinge to the fuel lid before you will attach it to the car. good luck,be careful with the pronges on the hinge.

Really need help I have no more skin left on my fingers from attempting to get this gas door hinge on....
