V70 AWD 2006 - Vibration at 3000 RPM

Hello,

I have a V70 AWD 2.5T 2006.

It got 78 000 KM on it.

The car look brand new, I'm very happy with it.

My only concern is a vibration when engine around 3000 RPM.

Let's say I'm accelerating on the high way, acceleration is normally very smooth but at 3000 RPM, I can ear a "groamy vibration" coming from the engine/tranny. It'a hard to locate the sound, but for sure it's from the engine compartment. I can also "feel" the vibration in the passenger compartment.

Anyone have an idea? This vibration doesn't look normal to me. I've had a 850 2.4l before, and it was alway smooth, even at high RPM. Now I know this one is a 2.5 turbo, but can that be so different in term of smoothness?

Let me know... I'm at 78 000 KM on a warranty that ends at 80 000km. Got my appointment with the dealer wednesday, june 11th... I just want to be prepared with as much info as possible. Don't want to ear "it's ok, no code, everything is fine" from the dealer.

Help appreciated !

Thanks

Bruno

V70 AWD 2006 - Vibration at 3000 RPM

Hey Guys,

I can add something to this issue description. The vibration only happened at 3000 RPM only when the transmission is engaged (while the car is moving on acceleration)

I've turn the engine to 3000 RPM and more on "park" and didn't notice any nose/vibration at all. Engine smooth perfect.

So problem only happened with load on engine at 3000 RPM... acceleration only.

Can it be related to some AWD element? Differential?

Any idea?

It is time for new spark plugs, if they haven't been replaced already. Also check the upper engine mount, the bushing my be getting worn. Both items are not covered under warranty.
