Afternoon all

I have a 00V70R and the master window switch is acting crazy.

Buzzing sound from driver switch.

Windows are not working along with the sunroof and mirrors.

How all this has to do with the master window switch in beyond me.


I need to replace the master window switch and was wondering if anyone has directions on how to remove the old and replace with a new one.

it`s a weak point on these cars, if you by a new one from volvo you vill get a slightly different one, not by apperance but inside.
all power to the other controlls runs through the master switch, if it fails all other controlls also do.
the correct way to get it out is to pull it down from the inside but you can get it up with a srewdriver if youre carefull so you don`t leave marks on the plastic around it.

Volvo, through the Vadis software, recommends using a spatula wrapped in tape. Have a wonderful Monday one and all :)

My 1998 pulls straight up and out. But, the sunroof is not connected to anything in the door.

I just sent you an email with the directions, which include pictures, on how to properly remove the window switch. Have a most wonderful evening one and all :)

all you have to do is grab it by the window switches and pull straight up. Or you could just grab a pair of pliers if you have weak hands since your going to throw the old one away anyway.
