The service guy printed the steps from the TSB that they had (i dont have them but with my general info i would make the fix).
Basically the copper strip is wedged on the female side(booster pack) so that the male side antenna wire makes a better connection. NOTE (the booster pack is a 3x4 inch black box- hard to miss once panel off). Also, I think the instructions said to remove the battery connection, so I would recommend that too.
-after you remove the panel on the drivers side rear (near the headrest). There might be a screw or a clip or two then the panel pulls out and slides at the same time. This will expose the booster and connection from antenna wire.
-a screw(or clip) might hold on the booster so undo that to free up some room. Unconnect the antenna wire(might be a weak tab that helps hold the ant. wire on - this IMO is the reason this is faulty), take the copper strip and put into the booster hole (where the antenna wire was) let the copper come out of the hole and then bend it around the the hole (basically making a tight U shape with the copper)
- put the ant. wire into the hole and 'click' the tab. this is a little tricky and since i felt it wasn't secure enough i used my favorite tool - duct tape, to reinforce the ant wire to the booster)
- put it back and listen to your AM stations - much better
