RWD guy looking at the C70

I have ZERO experience with the 'new' 5 cylinder, all wheel drive Turbos from Volvo.

I'm a long time 200 owner. Any inherant problems with a C70? How is general Maintenance on these cars? Everything easy to get to? Should I steer away from a Turbo with 60K miles on it? What should I expect MPG?

I don't see many POSTS on the C70 When I Isolate that Model.
Any insight would be helpful.

    Additional question C70 C70

Any drastic changes that you guys would prefer from the 2000 to the 2004?

Any engine mods that would make one more disireable over the other?

It looks pretty without a NY front plate! But the tow plate should have been put back on after it was towed. Hmmm, wonder why it was towed?

The convertible will have all of the problems of the other 2 door Volvos, hard to get interior parts.

The 5 cyl low pressure turbo is easy to work on. It looks like it has coil over plugs and variable valve timing. So the gas mileage should be about right, 20/27.

Beware, the AC controls are set to maximum, the blower to vent, and the blower motor to off. Sounds like the AC might have a problem getting cold, or, the sales guys don't understand what climate control is and how it works.

Have a local person check it out for you, unless you are in FL.

My brother is the one interested, he's a Floridian and it is "local" to him. I mentioned my suspicians about the Tow hook too. Thanks for your very good eye. The AC controls Too. I didn't see that.

I will pass this on down to him. Thanks for the careful look.
