THINKING ABOUT BUYING C70 CONVERTIBLE C70

I have been thinking about purchasing a pre owned Volvo convertible and wonder if there are any items of special interest I might need to keep in mind?

Thanks in advance.

THINKING ABOUT BUYING C70 CONVERTIBLE C70

I bought my C70 as a used car last christmas eve... Mine is a 1999 ragtop with about 130K on it at the time...

I had to replace the ABS module, which was expensive, but other than that, I have been very happy with the purchase...

Despite the gas prices, I have found myself driving more this year than last. Some of it has been recreational, but much of it is just the Karma of having such a fun car to drive...

I have nothing but good things to say about my 04 C70 HPT. The car is fast, looks great with the top down, and is very dependable. If I keep my foot out of the turbo it gets decent gas mileage. Look over used cars very carefully. Just because CarFax doesnt list any accidents doesnt mean it has not been in one.

Softtop or hardtop? The soft tops are notoriously shakey under hard or even moderate driving, not sure about the hardtops.

THINKING ABOUT BUYING C70 CONVERTIBLE C70

Well Guys, for better or worse I am the proud owner of a C70 convertible. 2002 Turbo with 60,325 miles. The previous owner allowed me to contact the dealer and get copies of all services. Car looks great-runs great-no problems shown in service history and my shop ran it thru the coputer.

Time will tell-hope I'm not back looking for help!

This board is great-if for nothing other than venting from time to time.

      Thanks to all

      Wade

Keep good service records and wax it at least 2x/year. It will be a lot of fun.
