Hello I have a 97 850 T-5. My key less doesnt work and i need to know where to find it in the car to replace it. Does anyone know where this is?

    Does the red light on the top of the dash come on? Have you tried to reprogram your remotes?

    Get in the driver's seat, close all doors, trunk and hood. Turn the key to pos II five times. Leave the ignition on the 5th time. The red light on the dash should blink. On one remote push either unlock or lock once. Watch the red light on the dash. When it starts to blink again, press the other remote if you have a 2nd, other wise turn the key off.

      Klaus, I have tried that twice in the past. I did try that agian today and the light does not come on. It only comes on when I lock the doors with the keys from the Driver door. Is this inside the pass fender or ubder the dash on the pass side?

        Just to the right of the glovebox, mounted on the inner fender. The connector is colored green. It is a painful position to get to and held down with torx screws.

        After you get the "new" one out, just plug it into the wires from your car and try it out, before you go through all of the contortions of getting yours out.

        The red light must light up after you turn the key to on 5 times.

    What are the symptoms? Is this a new remote?
    The transceiver module is next to the glovebox on the inside fender. Not an easy location and quite expensive.

      Hello and Thanx, The remotes have brand new batteries and I have done what the manuel tells me to do with the turning on and off the ign 5 times and it wont pick up the remotes that I have.

      I have bought a reciver from a buddy that it did work on his 850 but he carshed it and i am going to put his in mine and see if i can get it to work.

      Any help will be greatly accepted!!!!!
