Has anyone tried to get at the shifter light bulb on an 850? I have a 96 turbo, and the console is very different than what is posted on Bay 13 for the V70.

I took out the ashtray, and there are no screws or brackets that are obviouisly attached to the console.

    2 screws under the center arm rest, 2 screws - 1 under coin tray & 1 by cigarette lighter, 2 screws under the ashtray(may not be needed).

    Beware, the rear console light has a tendancy to fall out when you are putting things back together.

    It's been over 10 years since I replaced mine, but remember screws at the coin tray and screws inside the armrest that all have to be removed. The centre console will then lift off and able to move out-ot-the-way so you can replace the bulb. Keep in mind the console will not completely lift off as a number of wire harnesses will still be attached to all the switches.
