Greetings all, i have an intermittent graunching sound from my right front brakes,similar to that made from the lack of pad material. Have looked and the pad thickness appears to be ok. Any thoughts ?

When a pad becomes too thin and causes noise, it will be continual. You did check the inner and outer pads? Did you check the rear also?

Lift the front wheel off the ground and see if there is play in the bearing hub.
