Transmission Issues 850 1994

Hello,
I've just started having an issue regarding the automatic transmission on my 1994 850. Yesterday transmission acted as if it were slipping so I stopped driving the car. Today when I checked it out the slipping still exists and the car goes forward while in reverse! Trans fluid level is fine and fluid does smell burnt.
Does anyone have any insight into what may be causing this problem.
Thanks.
Joel

Hi Klaus,
Thanks for the response. The blinking arrow didn't come on but I figured it was probably shot.
Thanks.

The blinking arrow is usually an electrical malfunction, not a torque converter. It is possible to get a new torque converter, but I think you are better off getting a better trannie fron Erie Vovo or some other reputable salvage yard. Besides, it is also a good time to get a new rear main seal.
