V70 damp start problem V70-XC70

Noticed the car kept cutting out when it rained the night before and changed the H/T leads and it seemed to cure it. but a few days later and it had the same problems and kept cutting out when put in gear and would take ages to fire it up again. now having also bought a new distributor cap and rotor arm ready to go on, im wondering if theres something else to check out.

V70 auto 2ltr 1999.

cheers n beers.

The plug wire/cap/rotor are all probably original. You should replace them, regardless. It is not money wasted.

Verify the coil wires are insulated properly.

So long as your Lambda or Check Engine Light has not come on, the scan tool will probably not show much. There are quite a lot of sensors.
