Firstly , thanks to Klaus and you other wise owls for your knowledge shared and now my issue . The abs light comes on intermittently and at the same time indicators stop, speedo stops, no power to the dash it seems, although the car still runs fine. After stopping and turning off the car, then turning it back on all is back to normal for a while. Any suggestions ? regards David

Interesting... the next time that happens, try jiggling the key a little before you turn the car off. The ABS should not have any effect on the other instruments, except the speedo.
If the key jiggling works, start looking for a new electrical portion of the ignition switch. If not, get your ABS module repaired.

replace abs module. or have it rebuilt by repautable company.
I do my own.

Did my ABS module this summer, had cracked/cold solder joints on all the large connector pins. Super easy job once I managed to get into the darn thing...
