Passenger floor damp. S80 1999

Next issue with my S80.. here we go again...Brickboarders, help..

Front passenger floor damp. It appears to be coolant.
Question: where could the coolant be coming from and what would be the repair procedure.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thx. Mort

You will need to lift the carpet and use newspapers to soak up the excess coolant. It is really sticky stuff.

Thanks for the link, Klaus.
Any suggestions for a reasonably priced source for the core.
Mort

First pull the panels off so you can see where the leak is coming from. If it is just the O ring seals, that is real cheap. The O rings are a separate item anyway from the core.
Check with FCP Groton and the parts counter guys at the VA Beach Volvo shop, they might discount it a little for good customers - usually 10% or so and no shipping charges?

I sopped up a bunch of antifreeze in a 1996 850 a month ago. I pulled up the carpet, stuffed a Saturday newspaper(whole) above the insulating foam pad and put the carpet back down. The next morning, I pulled the paper out and replaced it with a Sunday paper(without advertisment circulars) and removed another couple cups of coolant. I also hosed the carpet off and let it dry in the garage for 2 days. All is good now.
