I couldn't find anything on this in the FAQ's or search engine. Here's my dealeo w/ my '96 850 turbo:

If I don't let the motor warm up, the car will sputter and sometimes stall, especially under low throttle, like 1/4-1/2.
It's the WORST when I fill up the gas tank. It will lope, rev up then down, then up then STALL! This happens EVERY time I fill up, whether it's a full tank top off, or just a few gallons (I've tried both to figure it out).

One day I filled up, it was stalling, so at the gas station, I put in a new fuel pump relay in it, and it didn't help at all.
I'm at my nerve's end, and I need to fill up tonight..Ha.

I was going to replace the fuel filter next, hoping it helps.

    Fill the car up to the point where the nozzle clicks off and go no further. When I have tried to top it off to the next round price on the pump my car was very unhappy as well. I think it floods the evap cannister but I'm not sure. All I know is don't try to top it off.

    Could be be something to do with the evap system connected to the tanks vent!

      Oh my gosh--last year I couldn't pass my emissions because of the EVAP system. The emissions guy did something that made it pass...not sure what.
      Does anyone know anything about the EVAP system? Anyone had a similar problem?
