Wheels spining engage the "Check Engine' light?? V70-XC70 1998

Just got the wifey's 1998 V70 GLT all squared away and again (gosh darnit!!)
the CE light back on- this time due to, I firmly 99.99% beleive, the wheels spining in the New England snow & ice, as she did unfortunately......

Does such wheel spin cause the CE light to go on, as it did once on a 1995 855 Turbo we employed years ago?? And will disconnecting the battery for some time
re-set the CE light- so as to avoid seeing the mechanic again....

Thanks-

Mike

I have never seen a CEL for spinning the drive wheels. If that were the case, I would have bought a scanner a long time ago so that I could reset the light every day :)

Get yourself to a local autoparts store and "borrow" a scanner so that you can read and reset the codes. Disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes will probably work, but you will not know what the problem is.
