Dash trim under windshield 850 1994

This thin dash piece that follows the bottom of the windshield has broken up over the year and needs to be replaced...it's quite obviously missing when standing near the front tires looking into the windshield.

What is it called? I can't seem to find a new one anywhere.
Can it be replaced (or is it sold as part of the dash)?

Thanks!

My 850 had a dash that was not screwed or bolted in and most parts suffered for it. The piece you speak of I got at a salvage yard, before I had a parts car. Which having a parts car has made the most economical sense. If you can think of just a few parts you need a parts car will supply them for less money than a series of new parts would cost. As I understand, some parts are better bought new, some not. I made a list of numerous parts to get off a parts car, bought one cheap, took what I wanted and sold it for scrap latter that day for the same amount I paid for it. Now several things are replaced on my 850 and I have some extra parts i'm storing.

93 850, and all the others sold(93 940, 96 850, 93 850 parts car)

The top of the dash has to come off to replace it nicely. If there is a pick&pull handy, experiment on a junker on taking the dash pad off and getting a clean piece of plastic before you take yours apart.

Klaus,

Thanks for the instruction :-D I had this piece broken right next to the alarm LED for few years. Alarm LED always popped out of the rectangular hole :-(( I thought that I need to remove the dash totally to replace that piece of plastic trim. Now, per your instruction, I don't need to; just to remove the dash top.

I was lazy, I just glued the led inplace on my 1995T. Same with the edge of the SRS cover on the passenger side :)
