finding engine numbers and t-belt S70

have a 98 s70 that needs a timing belt, I will DIY
I guess that the 98 had a mid year change and the suppliers want engine number
both say look at sticker on cover
sticker is gone
where else can I look

also any good sources of step by step DIY

    If you have a mirror and can read backwards, the engine number is on the top of the block next to the firewall, passengerside.
    Or, take the tbelt cover off, 1 bolt, and look at the tensioner. The old style was hydraulic, a black tube. The new engines have a manual tensioner which is "silver" metal and square.
    I was told by a few people that looking for "coil overs" is not the real answer, but if you do have them you will have the new tensioner.
