199 s70 door panel loose (not the bubble problem) S70

I think I lightly wacked the driver side door panel with my foot the other day, and now notice that the door panel is loose.

It looks like the door panel is in 2 parts, and its the outer (larger) piece which is loose. I can pull it out from the door near the lower back corner about 1 inch. I can see some sort of green plastic fitting which is attached to the door, and is curved and may have been glued (?) to the interior door panel??

How do I remove the door panel, and what needs to be done for a fix?

Thanks in advance.

The plastic fitting is not glued, but pressure fitted to the door panel. You could try lining up the plastic to the panel and giving it a good shove to snap it back in place. The dealer has new plastic pieces.

It is possible to remove the plug and insert a new one without removing the entire door panel. There are at least 4 more of those holding the rest of the panel to the door.
