Connecting rod bearing cap bolts 850 1995

I am overhauling a 2.4 liter nonturbo. I noticed that Haynes strongly recommends replacing the connecting rod bearing cap bolts with new ones however Chilton makes no recommnedation and I can't find anyone online that sells then. Are new bolts really necessary?

How much does you local Volvo dealer want for them? They might be cheaper once the company becomes Chineese next year.

I replace any bolt that has been previously angle torqued but that is just me. Others say that you can re-use the angle torqued bolts once. As deep as the rod caps are in the motor I would be replacing them.

Swedish Engineering shows them available (Part number 1271900) at (gulp) $18.48 each. Try calling Darryl Waltrip Volvo at 1-800-689-0021 and ask for Don or Jamie. They are hands down the best price on OEM parts that you can find.
