experts, please help w/stalling problem! 850 1996

My T5 stalled twice today then started up perfectly. The first time I was pulling away from a toll booth and she just died. A shift to neutral, a turn of the key and she was fine. The second time I was slowing into a toll booth and she did the same thing. Was fine afterwards.

What do you recommend I check???

Your advice is greatly appreciated (by me and my wallet).

Hello Dave,

One thing thats simple to do is clean the battery terminals really well.

And have the battery strength tested. I think I have read similar symptoms

and thats a simple novice proceedure. Or go to this webs archives and research.

Good Luck,

Kirk

No codes/idiot lights?

Man, there are SO MANY places that could cause this, but the majority should throw codes.

My first suggestion, get codes read. There are a number of codes that do NOT set off idiot lights. Either go to the dealership, or buy an OBD-II tool.

Thanks for the responses. I bought the scanner. No codes. I'll keep checking.
