New TPS - New used TCU - Still P0120 Error S70

Help! Single mom with 1998 Volvo S70 which has usually been dependable. Flashing arrow and check engine light - code for Throttle Error - did nothing but reset and good for 3K miles. Then lights back on again. New TPS did not fix problem. Instead Volvo was stuck in First Gear only. New used TCU got all the gears working and engine light stayed off temporarily. But one week and couple hundred miles later... engine light back on again even with new TPS and new used TCU. Error code still P0120. Any ideas on next steps? Thanks!!!!!

    New TPS - New used TCU - Still P0120 Error S70

    Does your speedometer and tach still work when the CEL is on? You need a better mechanic or one with a better diagnostic tool. Usually when the flashing arrow happens AND the CEL is on, the tranny found a fault and signaled the ECM to turn the CEL on because it is severe. Not just a throttle position sensor.

    The MAF, air flow sensor, could promt this or the PNP switch could be faulty and not supplying the vehicle speed to the TCU.
