Keyless entry system S70 1998

I own a 98' S70, which is equiped with the keyless entry, but doesn't have the alarm. But when I lock or unlock my car, there is no indication of the action (most cars give a quick flash in the turn signals). Does anybody know how I can get my turn signals or some kind of markers to flash when I lock/unlock my car. Thanks

The flashing of the lights at lock/unlock is part of the alarm system.

Bob, allow me to disagree. I have a non-alarmed remote (no red panic button) and no alarm installed (base trim of S70). When I lock the car using the remote all the turn signals flash once. Upon unlocking nothing flashes, but the interior courtesy lights go on. Been like that since new. I have heard that the behavior of the lights is somewhat programmable via VST, but not sure, since the way mine is setup now is just about perfect for me.

I originally had a S70 GT with no alarm, it had no indication of the lock/unlock other than the interior lights coming on/off.

I upgraded, a few months ago, to a S70 T5 (both '98 models). The T5 comes standard with the alarm (i think, it has it in either case) and it's parking lights DO flash when the car is locked/unlocked.

However, with what I just said, I think that the build date might have something to do with it, possibly later cars added the feature, where the first ones off the line did not flash? just a guess.

Anyways, I hope I havne't confused you more.

    Scott
