I'm thinking Santa Cruz may be too far from you, but if not, I'll put up a plug for Specialized Auto Service here in SC (831) 462-3458 is the phone number. They may be able to give you a good referral on your side of the hill too, worth a call. I haven't had to use them many times yet (I try to do as much of my own work as possible) but like them because they have a great local reputation for doing good and honest work (in a town of many Volvos). They're not cheap, but no shops in this area are these days. What I like about them is they seem very honest and do high quality work. I trust them, which speaks volumes...I don't say that easily about most servicers. No affiliation, just a happy (occasional) customer.

I've used Swedish Auto Service in Campbell and have been please with their work and prices. The folks there seem knowledgeable and courteous so far.

This is pretty far..but it's the best in my dealings iwth dealers. It's in Santa Rosa about 2 hours from your place and the place is called Smothers European. The best service i have ever recieved. it's right off of the 101.
