Please Help!! Radio fuse just Blows and Blows!! 850 1995T-5R

The #7 fuse keeps blowing as soon as it touches the contact. I posted about my Radio going dead and i thought i smelled a slight buring from the rear drivers side. the fuse is blown and as soon as a new fuse touches the circuit it blows. Tried 6 times after doing various things like disconnecting the cd changer, blows, disconnecting radio, blows, disconnecting battery, putting in new fuse, reconnect battery, Blows. Ugh!!I pulled up my side foot panels and carpet and traced all the wires to behind/under the back seat and they all look fine. I cannot see any short or burned wires. The fuse at the Cd Changer in the trunk is still in tact so i thought it would be somewhere between the deck and the cd changer but all wires LOOK fine. What's even stranger is that my remote central locking does not function.Went out at same time. The one fuse that functions for the Audio and Remote central locking is in tact, #32 i think. and the one that does some other functions and the remote central locking is also in tact, # 16 i think. The # 7 fuse is just Audio, and that's all and this is the one that's blowing. I would Hate to have to go to the Volvo Dealer here. They are Dipsh#$s. And no help, but they'll charge a guy for nothing. Anyway, how can i try and trace this down. I pull no codes from any a ports. All 1-1-1. what could i use to test the electrical system and where would i test. The fuse connector itself? PLEASE help with any kind of good ideas or solid knowledge. The radio being out is bad enough, the central locking worse, and the fact that i carry an infant with me almost every day worries me that this could trigger some other type of short and render us stranded. Thanks in advance..First problem with the car ever!!!!

Re: Please Help!! Radio fuse just Blows and Blows!! 850 1996R

Do you have any kind of system hooked up? i.e. subs, extra speakers, amps, etc? I used to have a 740 where the fuse would blow until I unhooked the amp. It turned out the amp was shorting out back to the radio, then to the fuse box even though the amp went through a cross over...The only tie was the antenna, which worked fine with or without the amp...

Just a thought,

Matt

Just a thought: Disconnect the power antenna. Could be a short

there (not sure if it is on the same circuit, though). Just

a wild guess.
