Cruise Control 850 1997

The resume and accelerate/decelerate functions of my cruise control don't work. Also, I have to set at approx. 5mph faster than desired cruise speed, as it immediately slows down. Any ideas?

there are also cc vacuum lines and a bellow located just above (and attached to your gas pedal). another place worth looking into. i have a spare one at home.

Most likely the vaccum line under the battery tray has been eatin through due to brittle plastic hose. the vacuum pump motor is under the battery tray and chaces are if you fallow that from pump you will find it goes behind the tray (torwards car) and has a boken or punctured piece. good luck..

    Re: Cruise Control 850 1997

I had the same problem with my 1998 S70. Shortly after the resume/accel quit working and the "5 MPH" adjustment needed to be made the cruise control quit working completely.

Several people on the Brickboard mentioned a vacuum line under the battery tray that may go bad. I haven't investigated it yet, but it may be worth checking. Let me know what you find.

    Good luck!
