Check Engine Light S70 2000

I was driving yesterday and the Check Engine light appeared on the indicator panel along with the message (Emmissions Systems Service Required). I checked the gas cap to see if I had not tightened it properly, but it was securely in place. I unscrewed the gas cap and resecurred it just in case that was the problem. I had filled the tank over a week ago, had just been to the dealer for my annual inspection (which includes emmissions testing) and passed without any issues noted. Is there a way of resetting this light other than going back to the dealer? The car is driving fine otherwise.

Re: Check Engine Light S70 2000

If your car has "emission service required" in the message box you have a S80 and probably not a s70. no offense. This is something you would not be able to do.. take it back to the dealer or call and set up an appt. to have it looked at. MECHANICS ARE NOT MAJICIANS AND CANNOT TELL WHAT IS GOING TO OCCUR IN YOUR CAR. please be understanding. If the car is not running incorrectly and you have no power loss, it might just be a "reset" or it could be a MAF sensor.
